Here are highlights from a few completed projects. Most of Andrews-Cooper’s recent product design and tooling projects are confidential and cannot be referred to on our website.

Complete mechanical design of a medical product including plastic enclosure, sheet metal, keypad, cabling, EMI shielding, connector, carrying case, internal circuit board and component mounting.

Custom battery charger with challenging thermal management. Conduction, and both forced and natural convection, allowed for a compact efficient product. Custom battery packs with quick release, snap-in installation, created a user friendly solution.

Ruggedized (Mil 810E), water resistant (IPX4) defibrillator designed for paramedic field use. This unit survived and operated with a full sized utility van parked on it. Innovative approach resulted in several patents.
Finite element analysis of a plastic snap feature, added for product manufacturability to ensure material optimization to provide the required strength for the least cost.
High speed automated tool design rated for millions of cycles with virtually no customer down-time. This tool is used for de-packaging a printer consumable. System specifications required the use of pneumatic devices, servo motors and PLC Controller.
Shock/vibration test nesting fixture with industry standard mounting features. Made of magnesium to take advantage of its low damping characteristics. Designed for 3-axis testing, allowing product to be easily tested on any face.
Precision, automated tool that measures bead height to .0001” accuracy, insuring product consistency.
