This position works in a lab environment on new innovative products for the consumer electronics space. You will work in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements. Someone who loves to be hands-on with an analytical and inquisitive mind would work well in this position.
- BSME or BSEE required
- 3+ years of professional hands-on electro-mechanical or mechanical test experience
- Knowledge of verification and validation testing
- Experience in creating, executing, analyzing, and reporting on hardware testing
- Knowledge of working in a lab environment and running test equipment (e.g. environmental chambers)
- Ability to read CAD designs as needed
- Up to 20% travel may be required between locations
- Must possess valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Experience in aerospace, consumer electronics, or medical devices industries
- Ability to determine critical failure modes and mechanisms
- Hands-on experience in testing fixtures and fixture design
- Ability to collect data and inputs from Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Proficiency with general ME CAD tools: SolidWorks, NX, Pro/E, CoCreate or Creo, N.X. preferred
- Experience working on drop, shock, and vibration testing
- Experience with fixture design for optics or thermal devices
- Experience with plastic injection moldings and knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge & application of GD&T techniques and knowledge of associated metrology approaches
- Experienced in Root Cause Analysis
- Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a bonus
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE)
